Cecilia began as a choreographer in high school, with her first professional production, Beauty of the Bodies, at Barking Legs Theatre in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2018. She continued choreographing during her time as a member of Studio Dance Theatre at Agnes Scott College. Her works included Ceaseless Detachment (2021), Breathe and Collapse (2022), and Swell of Quietude (2023).
Ceaseless Detachment was her first work produced for film.
Most recently, her work, Around and Around and Around Again, was performed during the Full Radius Dance presentation of Up Close and Personal. She worked as a guest artist with Agnes Scott College, producing In Tandem, a restaging of Tethered (2024), a site-specific work created during her
Dance Canvas/Atlanta Contemporary Summer Residency.
Tethered featured a handcrafted 20x25-foot skirt that served as a costume and set piece.
Tethered was performed at the opening reception for A Network of Autonomy, presented by The Bakery Atlanta in partnership with the Emory Center for Ethics and Emory's Ethics and the Arts program.
Additionally, the skirt was included in the exhibition.
